Are you ready for overseeding?

It won’t be long now till soil temperatures have warmed up enough for overseeding, time to get your sward built up again after the winter and make any bare patches disappear and keep those golfers happy!

So, make sure your seed is ordered, your seeding machinery is cleaned, serviced and calibrated, keep an eye on the soil temperatures and be ready to go for it!

TOP TIPS FOR OVERSEEDING

• Ensure the seed seals, depth and seed rate are set for the correct type of seed
• Only use when the ground is dry, or the seed may not go into the holes
• Set reel speed at 50%, (maximum of 75% if needed on hard greens.)
• Adjust forward speed for optimum penetration (Max 3 MPH/4.8 KMH)
• Only use in straight lines, turning may damage the greens or seeders
• Do not start motors till units are on the ground, lift whilst moving forward
• Regularly check nuts and bolts are tight and gear locking clips are secure
• Clean seed hopper, up the delivery chutes and the brush with compressed air after use
• Store on the trolleys in a dry place after use
